Professional regulations for lawyers:

The corresponding professionals are lawyers in the Federal Republic of Germany. The professional title of “Rechtsanwalt” (lawyer) is granted through a special admission procedure by the responsible Bar Association in accordance with German legal norms. The lawyers are members of the Rechtsanwaltskammer Köln (Cologne Bar Association), Riehler Strasse 30, 50668 Köln, and the Hanseatische Rechtsanwaltskammer Hamburg (Hamburg Bar Association), Valentinskamp 88, 20355 Hamburg. They practice their profession according to the provisions of the Professional Code of Conduct for Lawyers (BORA) and the Federal Lawyers’ Act (BRAO). Furthermore, the CCBE Code of Conduct (professional rules for lawyers of the European Union) applies. The statutory fees for lawyers are based on the Federal Lawyers’ Fee Schedule (BRAGO) and the Lawyers’ Remuneration Act (RVG).
